I am Dr. D. Surya Bhaskaram, and I completed my Ph.D. in Physics at Pondicherry University.
Research:
My specialization is in charge migration studies, with a focus on understanding charge transport in various systems.
During my research, I have extensively used Broadband Dielectric Spectroscopy (BDS) and Raman spectroscopy to study both AC and DC charge transport. I am proficient in analyzing dielectric data using various relaxation models, enabling a deep understanding of material and system-level transport phenomena.
My expertise in charge transport and dielectric analysis has applications in:
• Energy storage devices: Batteries, supercapacitors, and solid-state electrolytes
• Electronic and ionic materials: Understanding conductivity, polarization, and relaxation processes
• Biological systems: Charge transport in neurons, membranes, and biological matter
• Material characterization: Linking microscopic transport mechanisms to macroscopic properties
I am passionate about bridging fundamental physics with real-world applications, whether in advanced energy materials, biological systems, or emerging electronic devices.
Academics:
For the past few years, I have been actively involved in teaching engineering undergraduate students. I enjoy teaching because it gives me an opportunity to engage with young minds, and in the process, I continuously learn and grow myself.
This motivation led me to create this website, where I plan to share my handwritten lecture notes, learning materials for undergraduates, and other academic resources. In addition, I aim to write and share interesting articles that connect real-world phenomena with fundamental physics concepts, making physics more accessible and engaging for students.
